In today's edition of the Boston Metro, Paul Guzzi sits down with another one of Boston's Future Leaders - Kathy Bilotas of Eli Lilly and Company.

Kathy currently serves Eli Lilly as Manager of Public Affairs, and is responsible for all legislative and regulatory issues of interest to Lilly within the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maine.  

PG: What is the coolest part of your job?

KB: Working for a company that is improving the health of hundreds of thousands of patients around the world and being provided the opportunity to advocate on behalf of people with mental illness and their families.

PG: What is your favorite thing about working in Boston?

KB: The rapid city pace and the historical aspect of the city.

PG: How can young professionals expand their networks and increase
their impact in Boston?

KB: The BFL Program is a great place to start. Become active within your community, and take the time to volunteer in any organization(s) that interest you.

PG: What reading material is on your nightstand?

KB: Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking by Malcolm Gladwell.

PG: Best place for an after work drink?

KB: City Bar at the Lenox Hotel.
