Mass unemployment down, Genzyme’s commitment to the region, and Congress’ elimination of per-country caps, "On the Record"

Last night, Chamber Vice President Jim Klocke went On the Record with NECN's Latoya Edwards to discuss the decline of Massachusetts’ unemployment rate from 7.3% to 7.0% in November which is helped by the promise of jobs by the new Genzyme President and CEO Dr. David Meeker who spoke to the Chamber emphasizing the biotech company’s commitment to this region, and the U.S. House of Representatives recent vote to eliminate the per-country caps for employment-based visas, which could benefit highly-skilled workers from countries like China and India that are seeking to stay in the country.
