Chamber President & CEO Paul Guzzi Profiled in Today's Boston Herald

You may have watched him interviewing our region's business leaders on NECN's "This Week in Business," heard him discussing the key issues of the week in the business community on WBZ-AM 1030, or seen him at a Chamber event talking about policy initiatives impacting our region's competitiveness. But, did you kow growing up, Chamber President & CEO Paul Guzzi had aspirations of becoming a veterinarian?

Today, Boston Herald business editor Frank Quaratiello got to know a different side of the Chamber president on his latest edition of "Frank Talk." An excerpt from the piece is below:

So, Paul, why don’t you tell us about something people don’t know about you, that you started out wanting to be a veterinarian?

That was my career aspiration. It actually dated back to elementary school, fourth grade. There was a project. A teacher, Miss Fitzgerald, asked us as students to think about what it was you wanted to be when you grew up, and I had always loved animals, had always taken in stray dogs. Occasionally . . . a cat but usually a dog.

I loved animals, I loved dogs and in the fourth grade, came to the momentous decision that I would be a veterinarian and had that in my mind as I went through school, up to high school.
